The lone wolf dying is a metaphor for the paths they had to walk alone before rejoining their pack. Jon died in flesh, Sanza died in rape, Arya died faceless. They all became stronger after death and had nothing left to loose. However, to survive they need to come together with their new found strengths and aliances. Glass shard into the Night kings heart killing him and most of the Walkers. At the end of the Battle all but a few will be dead. John will grab his sword and stumble onto the battlefield and take a last breath as he exclaims “its over”. He’ll drop his sword and fall over dead, probably near Daenerys.
